Positive • Inspiring

I help others reach their mental, physical and emotional health goals! I have been employed here at the Indian Valley YMCA for 5 years, encouraging members to move forward in their goals of a more positive, healthy and active lifestyle. I enjoy working with the Teen/Tween members inspiring them to see the benefits that the Wellness department has to offer. I specialize in families and youth, concentrating on new and interesting ways to make fitness a family time activity!

My work as an Instructor for our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA gives me just as much joy as I hope I give to the group!

Motivating • Caring

After working for an engineering firm, I later switched to personal training as a second career in 2004 after earning certifications from The American Council on Exercise and The National Personal Training Institute. My specialty over the years has been working with people who are new to exercise and looking for the right way to get started (or re-started). In addition to working with individual personal training clients, I am also a group exercise instructor. I will show you how to master a barbell in a Les Mills Body Pump class too!

High Energy Training

I graduated from Drexel University and earned my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and Human Resources. Later in life, fitness became my passion. I had the support of my husband and then 3 young children behind me. I have often times described myself as a “pleasantly plump” kid and adult but became fit, healthy, happy, and eager to show others that you can achieve success and “fitfullness” too! I have been there! I know the struggle it takes to change an overweight mindset. So, let someone who has been in your shoes help you to create your new mindset. It is never too late to start!

Passionate • Helpful

I am blessed with my wonderful husband, Chris, who has been my biggest supporter in reaching my passion in the fitness industry. I believe the first step to the success of my clients is to determine their current fitness status and create a step by step, or lunge by lunge, plan in the direction of their fitness goals. As a devout runner, competing in half marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks, I know if you set your mind to a goal, it is achievable. “Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1)

Attentive • Friendly

I am originally from Queens, New York and moved to Pennsylvania in 2000 with my family. I’m the mother of four children. We enjoy camping, hiking and the outdoors. Eating right and exercising helps us to experience life better together! I have been a personal trainer at the YMCA since 2012. I encourage my clients to remember to focus on how you feel, not what you weigh. I truly feel fulfilled when I am able to help my clients reach their personal goals.

I became a certified personal trainer through the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) combining my clinical training with knowledge of personal training.  I enjoy working with clients to not only address their physical fitness goals but to also help them overcome any emotional barriers that may prevent them from seeing results. I love to train new moms and clients hoping to lose weight.

All-Around Athletics

I have lived in Souderton all of my life. I am currently earning my BS in Exercise Science and Psychology at West Chester University with a goal of becoming a Physical Therapist. I specialize in fitness training to increase power, quickness, balance, and coordination for athletes or non-athletes who want to develop these skills. I was a very awkward and lanky kid and have learned what it takes to achieve confidence in physical abilities. I have the tools to get and keep you motivated to do anything you want to do!

Focused • Efficient

I joined the Indian Valley Family YMCA as a personal trainer in November of 2016. I grew up in the Harleysville area and have been a member of the Y since grade school. I started taking martial arts classes in early 2016, and used them to supplement my own workout routine. I like to use a variety of training methods with my clients to keep workouts fresh and interesting, and enjoy training members who are looking to improve their muscular strength and endurance.

Crossfit • Technique

My love for fitness started in my junior year of high school and has kept growing. My specialty is cross training and high intensity interval training. I’m an active Crossfit athlete, enjoy running in Spartan Races and Ragnar Relay Runs. Fitness to me has always been more than showing up to the gym for an hour, it’s a lifestyle and a huge commitment. It is also something anyone can achieve with the right coaching, the right training, and a lot of mental toughness. I am here to help you.

Commitment • Success

Personal fitness is a staple of health and longevity in everything you do. Throughout serving my country for 20 years, I have helped many men and women achieve their fitness goals in and out of their uniform. Every session is a journey where we aim to achieve your personal goals. It all comes down to the ABC’s: Attitude, Behavior, and Change. Achieving Your Goals

Exercising and eating healthy are a big part of my life and I am constantly trying to improve my understanding of health science. At Temple, I have taken specialized classes in weight training, swimming, yoga, and rowing and want to pass what I have learned to you. I have an interest in helping people lose weight and can design training programs that will complement healthy eating strategies.
