Two Revolutionary New Fitness Programs: BOGAFIT and BOGA YOGA

We are thrilled to be launching an innovative new fitness program developed by combining the best aspects of proven core movements from gymnastics, yoga, and boot camp type workouts performed on water. On TOP of the water! And class availability is filling up fast!

BOGA’s FITMAT is an innovative floating mat that builds strength, deepens flexibility, and improves balance and coordination through a carefully selected set of movements while minimizing the harsh impacts of traditional land exercises. It creates a high intensity workout that remains low intensity on your body.

Indian Valley YMCA’s branch will debut two new water classes beginning April 25, 2017.  Member registration began on April 10, and community registration begins April 17, 2017.

BOGA YOGA:

Takes your yoga practice to a new level of intention. Practicing poses on the FITMAT requires the yogi’s full attention, mind, body and spirit in order to move seamlessly from one posture to the next while maintaining balance.

BOGAFIT:

Boasts a total body workout on water. Classes focus on total body conditioning while building core stability on an unstable surface. Both classes are limited to six participants.

Two group exercise instructors, Dawne Wentzel and Tina Cook, from the Indian Valley Family YMCA trained with Gina Bradley of Boga in Gaithersburg, Maryland, to achieve their certifications. (Photos below).
