WATER SAFETY CLASSES | MAY 10 & MAY 21
According To the CDC, “About ten people die per day due to drowning, and of that, one in five of them are children 14 and younger.”
Teaching children how to be safe around water is not a luxury; it is a necessity. While it is proven that swim lessons greatly reduce the risk of drowning there are other factors. The Y is committed to aquatic safety and drowning prevention. As summer approaches getting families involved in water safety clinics is a valuable refresher on topics that can help save lives.
