Pickleball Instructor, Lansdale

608 E Main St. Lansdale, PA 19446 | $11-$16 per hour Hourly, Part Time

The North Penn YMCA is hiring Pickleball Instructors for our Lansdale Area Family YMCA Branch.

The North Penn YMCA is a charitable, nonprofit organization committed to strengthening our communities through membership and programs that foster youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for all. Salary: $11 – $16 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Lead group pickleball lessons, clinics, and recreational sessions for children and adults
  • Demonstrate proper techniques, rules, and strategies of pickleball to participants
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including first aid and CPR readiness
  • Provide individualized coaching to help players improve their skills and confidence
  • Maintain equipment, set up courts, and ensure a clean, organized playing environment
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff to promote program engagement
  • Foster a positive team atmosphere by collaborating with other instructors and staff members

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching pickleball preferred; experience working with children highly valued
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of learners
  • Knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and safety procedures
  • Certifications in first aid, CPR/AED operation required; additional sports-specific training instruction experience a plus
  • Background in Lifeguard experience, swimming, martial arts such as karate or judo, or other sports like soccer or basketball is advantageous
  • Experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred; familiarity with behavior management techniques beneficial
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in team environments; experience coaching or teaching physical education highly desirable
