The North Penn YMCA is hiring Summer Camp Counselors for our Lansdale Area Family YMCA Branch 2025 Camp Seasons at on-site and off-site camp locations.

Salary: $14-$19 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provides a safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally, to ensure the operation of a quality program
- Plans and implements program curriculum in a developmentally appropriate manner, meeting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of the participants
- Provides careful, attentive supervision of all youth; alert at all times
- Reinforce positive behaviors, teach proper sportsmanship, and bring enthusiasm to every camp day
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrates professional behavior and understand positive youth development approaches to the social development of participants
- Facilitates a program environment that invites exploration, promotes positive play, and welcomes children
- Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions
- Communicates effectively with staff and parents on a regular basis
- Sets up for and cleans up after all camp activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required or GED required, Degree in Education or Human Services preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience required.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- All staff must obtain background clearances in accordance with Pennsylvania law
- Adult/Pediatric First aid, CPR, AED Certified
- Enjoyment from working with children and keeping positive relationships with their parents in high energy athletic environments
- Excellent communication skills
