North Penn YMCA is proud to support our active duty members and veterans of the United States Armed Forces with our military members.
Memberships for Military Veterans
Military personnel with a DD214 discharge card or another authorized photo military ID are entitled to join the Y with a 10% discount and no join fee. This discount is valid on any membership category.
Membership Privileges for Active Duty Military Personnel
We understand that military families are under enormous strain and that military life comes with unique challenges. Deployments and frequent moves can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation’s service members and their families.
The North Penn YMCA along with the Armed Services YMCA and Department of Defense Outreach Initiative offers free Y memberships to eligible military families and personnel who may not have access to a nearby military facility.
Eligible families and personnel include:
- Family members of the deployed National Guard and Reservists;
- Active duty families who live in one of the selected joint bases created by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process;
- Active duty independent duty personnel and their families as approved by their military service headquarters;
- Relocated spouses and family members of deployed active duty personnel.
This program gives military families extra support and access to vital resources that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
